Today we are pleased to announce a brand new pricing structure here at Pligg Template for all of our existing and future Pligg Templates. After being in business for several weeks now we have listened to some feedback from our members and the kind folks who have dropped us emails over the past few weeks and decided to launch a brand new pricing structure here at Pligg Template that we think will better suit everyone’s requirements and budget.

The new framework structure will become the standard for all template we release and allows us the ability to have some very cool features within our templates.

Coming from a Wordpress design background to Pligg we wanted to do something a little different to the usual Pligg News layouts that are available, this is where the concept for PliggDZine originated from.

PliggTube v1.0.2 Released

Version 1.0.2 of PliggTube sees the video_embed module getting a cache introduced for any Video provider API calls it makes. To retrieve video thumbnails and embedded code for each video the module must contact the providers site to gather this information. To reduce the number of API calls to any external video providers websites that use an API we have introduced a caching mechanism to store the retrieved video information.

Users are always on a quest for speedier loading times on their Pligg based websites and one of the easiest ways you can achieve this is by adding Header Expire rules and Gzip rules to your .htaccess file. Before you try these techniques make a backup of your .htaccess file as you hosting environment may not support all of the techniques in this article.
